Hello, my name is Albion Scott and for as long as I can remember, I have been utterly obsessed with movie-making, every facet of it, especially practical effects, cinematography and directing. I can't help but look at the world through the lens of a camera.

At the moment, I have a number of projects either on the go or recently finished. Highlights include a short film about the feelings of entrapment in a small village; a love story about a life-changing chance encounter remembered by an old man; and three short documentaries (one shot on 8mm film) about people keeping old crafts alive.

The story behind these projects is at least 12 years old. I made my first stop-motion (inspired by Aardman ) at 5. Shadow puppet theatres at 6, exploded miniatures at 7, and planned a full-length Skyfall remake at the age of 8 - the budget got in the way of that one!

At 13, my love of Jurassic Park and admiration for Stan Winston saw me making complex puppets and doing work experience at Bad Wolf Studios (which was amazing!) and at 15, I attended a Summer course at the Brighton Screen and Film School. By now, it is clear, filmmaking is my future.

For much of this time, I have been lucky enough to go to a Waldorf Steiner School, a deeply creative, collaborative and holistic education, where metalwork and astronomy are seen as important as maths and literacy, and where core subjects are supplemented by putting on plays in a professional theatre, and presenting personal projects to audiences of over 400!

All this has given me the confidence to tackle difficult and long-term projects. For example, I am completing an EPQ where I am restoring a 1979 MGB GT, learning how to visualise a goal and do what it takes to get there. My school and these kinds of projects have given me a unique insight into the many skills needed for great movie-making.

The next step for me, is to take this passion, experience, and ambition to the next level: university. I know I have a lot to learn and I want to do that with people who share my passion, understand the film industry and will help guide me in my ambition to make film-making my life.
